Crack Self-Healing of Cement Mortar Containing Ureolytic Bacteria Immobilized in Artificial Functional Carrier under Different Exposure Environments

The ureolytic bacteria and nutrients were immobilized in the artificial functional carrier (AFC) self-healing cement mortar, based on AFC-encapsulated bacteria, was prepared for this paper. crack effect of mortars with without under different exposure environments (standard curing, dry–wet cycle water curing) investigated by visual observation surface internal cracks, permeability tests, mechanical performance recovery. In addition, healing products cracks observed using metallographic microscope. results show that mortar specimens containing have a higher area repair ratio, better tightness regain recovery ratio flexural strength compared control same environment. is obviously affected environments. are best when cured water, followed worst standard indicating presence necessary self-healing. generate more interior to greatly improve self-repair ability specimens, which promotes performance.
